Lab setup

Setup to be done before each lab (except Lab 0)

You can choose to use :

• SSP Cloud (recommended for Attachés)
• AWS (recommended for Engineers)

Before starting the lab

SSPCloud

• connect to SSPCloud
  • if necessary, create an account with your ENSAI e-mail address
• Go to Mes services
• Create a new service : Jupyter-pyspark
  • Wait for a few seconds
• Click on Copier le mot de passe and then Ouvrir le service
• On the next page, paste it in the appropriate place and Log in
  • You are now in your Jupyter service
• Import file named lab_.ipynb
  • open it and follow the instructions

AWS

For the first time, it will take some time to create your Spark cluster.

Follow these instructions to create a Spark cluster on AWS.

At this end of this lab

• Export your notebook
  • File > Export Notebook As … > Export Notebook To HTML
  • Right clic > Download the .ipynb file
• Delete your service (SSPCloud)
• Terminate your cluster (AWS)
